KAZ appoints ex EDS exec as new COO PDF  | Print |
Friday, 29 July 2005

Telstra's IT services arm KAZ has appointed former EDS executive Leisa Hart to the senior role of chief of operations for KAZ, reporting directly to CEO Mike Foster.

“Leisa brings to KAZ high-level management and business skills gained from more than 20 years experience in the ICT industry. Prior to joining KAZ, she held numerous senior roles at EDS, including as President of Asia Pacific Global with a staff of 3200,” Foster said.

“Leisa also held roles as a Service Delivery Executive and Director of Automated Operations during her eight years with EDS. Prior to this, she held a number of senior roles in operations, software and systems delivery for ICT leaders including IBM, Computer Associates and StorageTek.

“Her immediate task is transforming KAZ’s and Telstra’s Business Process Management Systems in order to facilitate responsive and ever changing service provisions.”

Hart said KAZ was well positioned to deliver business benefits to Australian customers, leveraging Telstra’s ICT resources and the plethora of new technologies now reaching Australian markets.

“What KAZ brings to the market is an unmatched ability to bring a real-world focus to developing technology-based solutions to business problems.  Recent examples – such as KAZ’s utility-based services offerings, and the development of an SMS-based security solution for a leading Australian banking institution – evidence our ability to examine issues from a business point of view, and develop a highly effective, highly appropriate solution.”
