Pronto claim as first ERP vendor to receive EANnet certification PDF  | Print |
Monday, 01 August 2005

Local ERP vendor, Pronto Software, claims to have become the world’s first ERP Vendor to receive EANnet certification for its data synchronisation product. EANnet serves as a community hub for supply chains to systematically exchange product information.

According to Pronto, large trading partners, such as Coles Myer, are now requesting their suppliers to provide product information electronically using EANnet.

Australian owned Pronto Software claims to be the only ERP vendor to have a product, iSupply, which is an EANnet compliant extension for its ERP suite, PRONTO-Xi.

"Pronto Software is fully committed to supply chain excellence and this certification is yet another operational example of our intention to exceed market expectations. It also clearly demonstrates that Australian software vendors are more responsive to local requirements than products from overseas. We have beaten major international players in this certification process and are working to accelerate away even further," says Michael Panosh, marketing manager at Pronto Software.

The Pronto product links a company to the central EANnet catalogue repository, seamlessly synchronising product information.  The addition of iSupply to Pronto Software’s product suite is designed to enhance the ability for companies to collaborate with their trading partners and eliminate costly inaccuracies in the supply chain process.

According to Bonnie Ryan, supply chain product manager at Pronto Software, "EANnet and iSupply have been designed to meet the common needs of Australian manufacturing and distribution businesses of all sizes. EANnet is industry specific so the data exchange aspect shares a common terminology between trading partners. This ensures accurate data synchronisation which reduces costs of order processing and inventory holdings."
