Indigo Pacific completes SAP enhancement for PlayCorp PDF  | Print |
Monday, 05 September 2005

Content solutions provider, Indigo Pacific, has implemented an Adobe documents enhancement for the SAP enterprise system of fashion group PlayCorp.

The solution, designed and implemented by Indigo Pacific, extends the functionality of PlayCorp's recently deployed SAP R3 system (including the Apparel and Footwear Solution, AFS), and is deisgned to enable the company to create dynamic business documents, tailored for the hard goods, leisure and apparel industries. With the new enhancement, PlayCorp can produce invoices, purchase orders, statements and other documents modified to meet the varying preferences of their customers, suppliers and external parties, without needing to reprogram the SAP R3 system.

Indigo Pacific implemented the Adobe Output Pak solution at PlayCorp over a two-week period including the installation and configuration of essential PlayCorp forms to specification. Indigo Pacific also provided the training for PlayCorp's SAP users.

The growing diversity of PlayCorp's business together with its dynamic growth and its increasing requirements for exchanging data with customers, suppliers and other external parties necessitated an upgrade from a legacy system to a comprehensive ERP system designed to handle the complex requirements of managing apparel and hard goods. Intensive research into available solutions resulted in the implementation of SAP R3 using SAP partner Supply Chain Consulting.

PlayCorp commissioned Indigo Pacific to implement Adobe Output Pak which works by transforming report-like information from SAP systems into dynamic business documents.

PlayCorp's chief financial officer, Darron Kupshik said, "We wanted to provide our customers with more flexible forms that suited their individual preferences and requirements. The Adobe solution designed for us by Indigo Pacific gives us the flexibility to manipulate existing forms and create new ones without needing to employ external consultants to change the SAP system."

Indigo Pacific CEO, Hugh Millikin said, "As a Tier One provider of Adobe solutions we pride ourselves in adding great value to Adobe's suite of products throughout the Asia Pacific region, delivering clients tailored solutions from concept to completion, including installation, support and training."
