Document management and delivery provider, ConnXion Limited (ASX:CXN), has won an electronic document delivery deal with a major UK wine retailer.
ConnXion had earlier signed a non-exclusive license agreement with Burlington Funds Holdings Ltd to resell ConnXion's products and services in Europe and the United Kingdom.
Burlington's first UK customer is The Unwins Wine Group Limited (Unwins), a wine and spirits retailer with 381 stores across South East England and an annual turnover in excess of £130 million, or A$300 million.
Unwins will use ConnXion's technology to streamline the production and electronic delivery of its business documents, including invoices, statements and notices.
The license agreement with Burlington provides customers access to the ConnXion Hosted Service based in Australia for the production and delivery of their business documents. The interface with a local UK based Mail House is already underway that will enable ConnXion to manage electronic document delivery through its global network (including email, fax and SMS) while printing and posting within the UK and Europe. The license agreement also provides for Burlington to establish a ConnXion hosted system within the company's data centre in the UK.
According to ConnXion, the deal expands the company's international reach and significantly advances the company's key objective of globalising its products.
Frank Favretto, Consulting CEO of Burlington's European operating subsidiaries, said, "Over the past six months, our discussions with prospective European customers and resellers have confirmed the European business world is ready for ConnXion's offering. We're seeing real demand for ConnXion's platform because it offers the ability to deliver compelling cost savings in automating customer communications, work flow process efficiencies and advanced online payment capabilities. Burlington is delighted to have a recognised brand like Unwins as its inaugural customer."
Phillip Cook, Chairman of Unwins, said, "ConnXion gives us the methodology to bring a greater consistency to the Unwins brand and positions us for strong growth in corporate accounts with minimum additional operational costs. Unwins is implementing ConnXion's products to achieve better responsiveness for our customers, improve our customer service and grow profitability."
David Colvin, ConnXion CEO, said, "ConnXion's international strategy is based on partnering with credible and focused organisations capable of accelerating the presence and revenue growth of ConnXion products and FLEXML Intellectual Property within specific territories. The Burlington license promises ConnXion the opportunity to do this in the lucrative markets of Europe and the UK.
"We are pleased with Burlington's success in signing the trusted UK brand Unwins as our first customer and are delighted that ConnXion's technology promises Unwins the best means to meet its strategic goal of boosting profitability."
Burlington will launch its ConnXion licensed European operations in Copenhagen on September 5-9, at SIBOS 2005, the world's premier financial services annual event. |
