Business Objects wins Ticketek BI deal PDF  | Print |
Wednesday, 14 September 2005

Business intelligence vendor, Business Objects has been deployed by Australian ticketing agent Ticketek as its business intelligence and reporting standard.

Ticketek wanted better access to accurate information in a timely manner, aggregating various databases to deliver a single view of its customers. By empowering its clients to self-serve using an easy-to-use reporting platform, Ticketek looked to deliver operational efficiencies by removing reliance on programmers for reports.

Peter Stirling Benson, Ticketek’s CEO said, “We had three main goals in deploying BI - we wanted to enhance our customer relationships, increase sales and efficiency, and empower employees with easy to access information without the reliance on IT resources.

“We have already seen operational efficiencies in the production of post-show reports since our partnership began with Business Objects a year ago. Previously to this account managers had to spend hours preparing reports for clients, now they are produced automatically in a standard format across all shows and venues.”

Rob Wells, managing director ANZ, Business Objects said, “We are increasingly seeing the adoption of BusinessObjects XI in the retail sector, where its scalability and ease-of-use allows the rapid distribution of information throughout the organisation, driving a new information democracy. An ever-growing number of organisations are deploying our best of breed solutions to gain a better insight into their company and customer base. We are very happy to be working with a leader in its field, such as Ticketek, to drive efficiency and help achieve its business goals.”
